Our Beliefs

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus, like the Father and Holy Spirit, was not created but has always existed.

He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.

He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5;14 10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, Romans 1:3-4

The Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. he exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. We do not believe in modalism, the doctrine that the persons of the Trinity represent only three modes or aspects of divine revelation, not distinct and coexisting persons in the divine nature.

1 Corinthians 8:6, Col. 2:9, John 1:14, John 10:30

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. We believe it wasn’t written to us, but that it was written for us to learn and follow God.

2 Timothy 3:16

Salvation is a Gift

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works, only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty.

Eph. 2:8, Acts 4:12, Romans 6:23

The Reconciliation

We believe that in order to recieve forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives.

Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9

The Church

We believe in the power and signifigance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together. We believe that the Church is the bride of Christ and that our responsibility is to be ambassadors for the kingdom of God.

We believe that God works through His church. We are one body with many members and that it takes all of us to see God move in building His kingdom.

Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 3:9, Acts 2:46-47
